Korea-Michigan Human Rights Research Fellowship Information Session

Jeong-Woo Koo, Assistant Professor of Sociology; Director, Sungkyunkwan Center for Human Rights and Development; and Manager of the Social Science Korea (SSK) Human Rights Forum, Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, South Korea; and Fellowship Advisor, Folake Graves will discuss the application and post-application process, timeline, funding, and participation in the seminar course led by Prof. Koo, and the International Summer Semester activities at the Seoul campus.

Where and when: International Institute (SSWB), 1080 S. University Ave., Room 1644 on January 27, 2016 from 12:00-1:00 pm

Who can apply: Applicants must be enrolled in full-time undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree programs at U-M. Applicants may be at preliminary or more advanced stages of their research. Undergraduate students graduating in Winter/Spring/Summer of 2016 are not eligible to apply.

Application deadline: March 15, 2016 (decision date is 4/1/16)

  • Online M-Compass funding application
  • Uploaded Statement of purpose (1-3 pages) including proposed time period, institutional affiliation, your reasons for pursuing the project, how this experience will contribute to your career goals; and budget
  • Online faculty recommendation – requested from M-Compass
  • Upload of curriculum vitae or resume
