International Student Conferences

As the new Executive Director of International Student Conferences, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that we are accepting applications for our 2016 programs in Japan and Korea.

For more than 80 years, the top students from the United States and Asia have been leading three-week summer programs that combine cultural exchanges, dialogues with opinion leaders, and rigorous inquiry into global issues. Participants not only hone their leadership and public speaking skills, but also forge friendships that last a lifetime. This past summer, our delegates:

  • experienced a homestay in rural Japan
  • joined a hot air balloon festival in Indiana
  • had discussions with world leaders like Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee
  • worked with teammates to present their recommendations to opinion leaders

We hope you will share this announcement with bright, motivated and globally-minded undergraduate and graduate students for what one participant from this past summer described as “a wonderful, exhausting, and enriching experience.” Details about our 2016 programs are below.

All the best,

Peter Beck
