In July 2015, the 8th KASC will take place in the United States. This is a student-led, month-long academic and cultural conference bringing together 25 American and 25 Korean delegates. Together, all 50 delegates will travel across the country to four different states, discussing five roundtable topics associated to US-Korea relations, attending lectures in pertaining to roundtables and participating in service activities. In conclusion to the conference, roundtables will be given the chance to present their research results to experts at the Final Forum.
During this conference, students will also get the opportunity to network with not only peers, but with professionals and experts. KASC provides a huge opportunity for students to grow personally and professionally. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for this conference. There is no requirement of prior knowledge related to Korea or the Korean language.
The deadline will be on Friday, January 2, 2015. We highly recommend students to apply for the priority deadline in order to receive priority notification of their acceptance by December, consideration for their roundtable choice, and will have more time for fundraising opportunities.
